Forewomen is a diverse community of female thought leaders and practitioners who empower, connect and educate current and aspiring women in areas of business transformation, technology, revenue, leadership and enterprise architecture.
Forewomen is based on two core values:
Promoting and unleashing the talent of female thought leaders and practitioners with diverse career backgrounds and stages. Our belief is that every story is worth telling. The impact and inspiration that each woman’s story can have is the key consideration, rather than the stage of their career or work experience. With this platform, the goal is to bring women with differing perspectives together to redefine the philosophy of sharing experiences.
A culture of giving back to the community to empower other women. We want to make a difference in people’s lives by creating a community committed to reaching many people, especially women, to help them learn, network and grow. Our intention is for our audience to be able to relate to these stories and then apply their newfound knowledge in real life scenarios, or even be motivated to voice their own idea, multiplying the effect so that all women can be heard.

My name is Amrutha Suresh and before I created Forewomen, I worked in the tech industry for more than 12 years, which was and continues to be a field dominated by men. Though I had some great male mentors and allies, I always felt the need to have a female mentor with whom I could share my journey, learn how to navigate challenges and relate to their story especially as an immigrant working mother and woman of color. I also noticed that often my male colleagues would get advancements while a few female colleagues I had would be passed over.
I am passionate about and enjoy:
Being a curious learner, I was always looking for a community where I could connect with like-minded women to network, learn new professional trends and gain insights about their journey and how they navigated their challenges.
As a professional with over a decade of experience, I knew that I could be a contributor and thought leader, but I was looking for a platform where I could share my experience and journey so that other women who were looking to learn could hear my story, then grow and apply that knowledge to their own life.
My passion is bringing women in technology together to share their voice, perspectives, insights, experiences and expertise and collectively make a difference to the community. This idea was the perfect opportunity for me to turn my passion into action.
